SmartPlugs™ inject and combust hydrogen at a controlled rate to reduce or eliminate urban air contaminants such as diesel exhaust, soot, carbon particulates, microscopic debris (prions, bacteria, viruses) pollens, and other smoke particles including oxides of nitrogen.
Such air cleaning by stratified hydrogen combustion can be achieved in a furnace, boiler, or internal combustion engine such as a gas turbine or piston engine. Shed tests show exhaust air that is cleaner than intake air.

McAlister’s SmartPlug™ fuel injector can be scaled from very small engines, like lawnmowers, to large automotive and trucking engines, and very large engines in electricity generation, marine, and rail locomotive applications.
Hydrogen is the Cleanest Fuel

- Industrial furnaces, boilers, and heaters can also be converted to hydrogen fuel.
