Energy Independence
METROL™ is a Hydrogen fuel, that is liquid at room temperature and pressure. Not only is H2 the most abundant element in the universe, but it can also be obtained throughout the world in multiple ways from multiple renewable resources.
This means we can reliably produce and distribute hydrogen fuel for millions of years., resulting in true energy independence and abundance (sustainability).
Hydrogen can be produced from solar, wind, moving water, and geothermal energy along with sewage, garbage, farm waste, numerous sources of methane, and ‘super crops’ such as algae.
All peaceful countries of the world can readily produce hydrogen to cleanly meet their energy needs.
Carbon Fiber Revolution
A centerpiece to the McAlister technology program is the HydroCarbon Splitter™ (HCS). One of the by-products of the HCS is a form of high-grade solid carbon that can be readily made into ultra-low-cost graphene, nanotubes, and carbon fiber.
These ‘super-materials’ can be used to make semiconductors, medical devices, and products that are stronger than steel, lighter than aluminum, and impervious to rust. Products that will revolutionize industrial manufacturing and construction because of their unprecedented performance-to-cost ratio.
The large profit from carbon-product sales can thereby subsidize not only the costs at the pump for METROL hydrogen fuel, but literally all other aspects of the climate-solution movement.

Global CO2 Drawdown
Since the principal feedstock for the HydroCarbon Splitter™ is methane (CH4) made from biomass, a convenient means is now available for harnessing the natural photosynthetic power of plants worldwide to draw down atmospheric Co2, thus reversing global warming
This includes virtually all forms of biomass waste (sewage, garbage, farm waste, etc.) as well as new “super-carbon-drawdown” crops such as algae that are uniquely-fast growing and can be grown in seawater or wastewater.
This means that with massive algae farming worldwide, excess greenhouse gases in the atmosphere could be reduced to safe levels in less than a decade of full-scale operation. Currently, no other technology offers this profit-motivated, rapid-deployment, global-scale potential.
Reverse Global Warming
To reverse global warming we have two objectives. 1: Stop burning carbon (releasing it into the atmosphere), and 2: begin the worldwide drawdown of C02 currently in the atmosphere.
At Metrol, we now have the technology to eliminate greenhouse-gas emissions from power & fuel production, industry, transportation, construction, agriculture, and drawdown huge amounts of atmospheric carbon via the HydroCarbon Splitter™.
McAlister technologies offers an unrivaled positive potential for removing the primary causes of climate change in the necessary short timeframe.

Waste Processing
Most human waste, including garbage, sewage, farm waste, forest slash, and food waste is organic in nature … and therefore can be used to make methane (CH4) with a suitable conversion process such as anaerobic digestion.
The HydroCarbon Splitter™ turns such CH4 into hydrogen and solid carbon products.
By this core process, civilization’s wastes can be CLEANLY turned into valuable fuel, energy, raw materials, and income to support economic growth and environmental sustainability.
Modern-day waste and pollution headaches would be virtually eliminated, and transformed into economic assets.
Green Jobs
The green-infrastructure revolution sparked by McAlister technologies—especially with the sustainable profits generated by the HydroCarbon Splitter will be worldwide.
The jobs created would come quickly and span virtually all disciplines, education levels, and income classes.
At Metrol we will help create new green jobs in manufacturing, construction, energy production, agriculture, transportation, design, and education just to name a few opportunities.
Virtually every peaceful community can participate in converting substances that ordinarily rot or burn into renewable methane. This—and/or natural gas—can then be made into hydrogen and carbon products. Carbon-reinforced equipment can sustainably convert solar, wind, moving water, geothermal, and biomass energy into electricity, hydrogen, or heat. The AMOUNT of green electricity, hydrogen, and/or heat generated every year will be hundreds of times more compared to wastefully burning such carbon one time in hydrocarbon-fueled furnaces, boilers, gas turbines, piston engines, or steam power plants.
The term ‘sustainable prosperity’ becomes a viable goal to unify human aspirations and full employment opportunities in communities throughout the world.

Clean Electricity
Most all electric-power plants today—whether powered by steam or fossil fuel (oil, coal, or natural gas) – could be quickly retrofitted to burn the new METROL™ hydrogen-based fuel with readily-available internal-combustion engines, gas turbines, and generators.
This would result in not just zero-emissions plants … but ‘MINUS-emission’ power plants by utilizing the stratified-charge hydrogen-combustion process developed by Roy McAlister.
Converted electric power plants would thereafter become air-cleaning devices.
Transportation
Virtually all modes of modern-day transportation—cars, trucks, scooters, buses, trains, boats, ships, airplanes, and jets—could be retrofitted to burn hydrogen-based METROL™ fuel in one form or another.
This can provide huge savings in time and money because we won’t have to replace the existing transportation and electricity infrastructures. Existing storage tanks, pipelines, gas stations, tanker trucks, and combustion engines could be used along with fuel cells.
With the increasing urgency of global warming, this is a critically important factor.

Agriculture
The impacts of McAlister technologies on agriculture are multiple and profound.
Practically all forms of ‘ag-waste’ (anything that rots or burns) can be monetized to provide extra income for farmers. This includes things like weeds, plant stalks, rice hulls, and other plant by-products, or animal by-products such as cow-manure.
All agricultural waste can be transformed into methane CH4 to feed the HydroCarbon Splitter that makes hydrogen for fuel and highly-profitable carbon products.
Another benefit is water, freshwater. McAlister technologies include multiple methods for purifying water, including low-cost sea-water desalinization, that can be used for irrigation.
Manufacturing
With lower prices for carbon nanotubes, fiber, and graphene, the door opens wide to a new era in manufacturing equipment that will out-perform and out-last all traditional materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, and silicon.
Graphene is the true super material for the 21st century and beyond. Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel, 1,000 times lighter than paper, 98% transparent, conducts electricity better than any other known material, and can convert light (at any wavelength) into a current.
The carbon revolution will provide exciting opportunities for all areas of manufacturing. This includes construction materials, physical products, solar applications, biotechnology, water purification, and more.

Construction
As the cost of lumber and other material continues to rise, the worldwide construction industry will benefit greatly from ultra-low-cost carbon fiber and graphene products that are stronger than steel, lighter than aluminum, and are inherently resistant to corrosion (rust) and fatigue.
For example, we can add carbon fiber to concrete for reinforcement and asphalt for road building, or levies made to offset the effects of rising sea levels due to climate change. Both of these applications will be longer-lasting because they eliminate the problem of rust and corrosion.
Because carbon fiber produced by Metrol will be low cost, durable, strong, lightweight, and eliminates the problem of corrosion it is perfectly positioned as the new construction material of choice for structural, marine, and high-stress applications.
